describing a photo "Trust Fall"

1. I picked trust fall because it seemed pretty cool and scary.
2. She is in the rule of thirds and there are no mergers.

1. I would find it either science or in art.
2. I would probably only do science and art.
3. I will need to zoom in and get good lighting in the photo.

filling the frame

This is framed by the roof and the desk, and it ids filled in by them and the other things like posters, the explosion, etc. You can see it is perfectly framed and even though you look at the back ground, it is still a pretty cool photo.

Action and Emotion

This has action and emotion because they are showing respect to the flag.  The lighting also sets the mood to the emotion and the people showing respect is the action.

story

This tells a interesting story to me because it is weird to see a kid be a teacher.  He is teaching a class  while he himself is a student. You can see him teach all the children or whoever he is teaching. The tells you that he is smart academically, and is not afraid.

Photo manipulation and ethics

A. There are rule to photo shop and some people do not follow these rules. Some people are care less with it and some ruin true photos to make it dramatic and when theory are found out, they will lose something.

B. This is unacceptable because it ruins the credibility of the photo and you may not see the true photos. For instance, the missile truck he took out could have helped us know about Iran. False communication never helps.

PROMPT 2

This (I think is unethical) because this event did not happen at all. This ,was not at all, true and did not take place. I do not like also because it tells us that we can't really trust news companies. This is unethical because it is untrue.

This ( I think is the least unethical) because this has not been changed much and it serves it's purpose. Plus the only things different are the way the soldier is,the man with the child and a bearded man with the right with black hair. Also there is not a man that used to be there but it serves it's purpose.

post shoot reflection

1. One of the challenges I faced was what should I take a photo of because of the many ideas that came up in my head  and the many that did not.
 2. The thing I focused on the most was zooming in and out, on the flowers I zoomed in on the flower letting you focus on just the flower and the background blurred out.
3. I would try to use the rule of thirds. That would help I think.
4. I think i would zoom in like I normally do.
5. I did use rule of thirds by accident but rarely did I use simplicity.
6. Yes, I think it was pretty fun when I could think for myself rather than do something that was preset already.

Falling Man reactions

I saw all the articles, and I think the falling man story is interesting and compelling. I think the second  with that one family talking about how that person was their father/husband was a pretty interesting story. I think that they are right because sometimes you feel that person you saw was someone close also, It could have been jonathan who fell down but nobody knows yet.

When I read about the photographer had also died,I felt like a part of history went away because that man had token a picture of one of the scariest picture during 9/11. I think that win the photographer died, he could not tell his grandchildren that he was one of the famous photographers who took a photo on that sad time in us history. This is my thought, what is yours?

mergers

This is a merger becuase they want you to look at the american flag, but the houses in the background draw your attention. That is why this is a merger.

framing

The explosion framed by the the two buildings. You can tell because the bright orange pops out and the buildings are framing it.

balance

This is framing becuase you can tell the direction the plane is going and you see a little of the building on the left and the building in front.

lines

There are lines on the road and on the sign. that is why there are lines.

rule of thirds

The explosions and the buildings are close to the rule of thirds. The buildings are on the points while the explosion is close.

simplicity

This is simplicity because you can only see the building on fire, the background it the clear blue sky.

National Geographic

I like this hoot because this would look like a photo of defiance. While the other stay low, this one shows it's self. While the others gave up, This one did not.

I would probably take a photo from India because there is always something happening there. Maybe a flood(like the latest one.) Maybe even something political, anything really.

Touching People

1. I don't like this project because it does not seem to be artistic to me in any way.
2. If someone did come to me with a camera and asked if he or she could touch me, i'd say no because you don't know who this person is.
3. I think like one with a person really close and a person far and make the closer one giant than the farther one and take pictures like that.
4. I do not like these photos. They just seem bland and boring to me,it's like a family picture but with strangers and touching. I do not want to do something like that and I do not like looking at them.

The Camera

1.The camera obscura is a device that projects an image onto the wall like a projector. The whole in the box acted like a lens focusing light.
2.The high quality glass lense brought us closer to making the first camera.
3.Niepce added film to finish the first camera.
4 Light passes through the lens and into the camera and exposes the film. Just like the Niepce camera.
5.It is an electronic sensor called a CCD.
6.On the auto mode everything is controlled while in In the program mode you can control some settings like flash.
7.It is an attempt to blur out the background. The camera will us  lens fast setting.
8. I would use it to freeze motion. The camera will use the highest shutter speed possible.
9. It has a faster response time, more control over focus, and it encourages better composition.
10.No flash, only when you need the flash if not its not necessary.
11.Flash will automatically fire if the camera thinks that it needs more light.v
12.The photo will look washed out.
13.The photo will be too dark.
14.A stop is a relative change in the brightness of light.
15.If you start with a single lightbulb and then add another bulb, the light intensity will increase by one stop.
16.To increase the light by another stop you would need to double the light for a total of 4 bulbs.
17. Longer shutter speed has more light.
18. Shorter shutter speed has less light
19. The size of the opening.
20. Making the aperture large means letting in more light.

First photos, Best and Worst

The top photo I think is the best  because it looks ,to me, what a professional would take. This is my favorite photo because the flower looks clear and the back ground blurry, making it pop out in the picture. To me, It looks crystal clear to me.

To me this is the worst picture I have taken because it looks like a family picture. It looks like a picture we would take if we went to a famous land mark. this is one of the few I hated. I think I should have taken a picture in the shade.
