lone star dispatch
Front page- This is the story of the theater tech teacher Roberto Gomez. He has been diagnosed with cancer and has been battling it ever since. On Nov.7th he is going for a routine surgery to get rid of a tumor on the left lobe of his liver. He started a fund raiser on Facebook and in a few days got hundreds of friends.

student life- student life is real all that is happening in the lives of students. One was a girl called Deborah Moreno and her life in the band called Son De Rey's. The other one is how dirty clothes makes a difference for special education where they of dirty clothes and learn life skills. There is one on love and how the best choices are going to movies and such. Lastly, there is how being awarded eagle scout is the highs of honor.

News - The school wide science fair was held at Bowie. The science fair was held on January 22, thursday and a lot of people came. The science fair was a heated competition because a little over a hundred people participated.

Sports- The sophomore, Brooke Landry, is the highest ranked female knife thrower and the youngest. She attended a autistic boy's ceremony where he earned an eagle scout. She was the entertainment. The highest rank is 300 and she got a 200 making her on the same levels as the experts, or the "expert level".
Entertainment- The trivia crack craze has spread through out Bowie an is spreading like a wildfire. It is a big distraction amongst hard working students, it is hard for them to study. It tests for general knowledge and makes you think hard. You can also submit your own questions.
Commentary- The sony hackers have made Sony lose about 90 million because of the scandal. The interview was rated 52% on Rotten Tomatoes but it still caused a lot of controversy. People think it is Kim Jong Un's death led to the hackers but it is still not solved.
Main in-depth- Using your phone while driving is very dangerous, as dangerous as drinking alcohol. Using a phone is mostly the cause of accidents. A person is 23 times ore likely to crash.

Other high school newspapers.
1. I liked the jag wire front page because of how funny it looks and how they mad sort of funny cover. It has a happy tone compared to the other ones. This cover is light hearted and so I like it.
2. The jag wire newspaper got my attention because of how colorful it was, it caught my attention.
3. The remarkable occurrences one is the best because it latches onto the reader making him or her want to read more.

Front pages of the world
1. I liked the Daten-Falle Handy. I like it because it seemed like there was much to look at and ,to me, it seemed interesting. If I knew german, I would read it. It is because they show you pictures of something and you want to find out about it, for this one it hard a huge gorilla.
2. Das Lexicon Des Islamismus was my favorite headline. I liked the picture that it had for it which was a gorilla, and it caused some sort of suspense and I thought what was going to happen to the gorilla. I wanted to know what would happen.
